When you\u2019re single, there are many doors that you can open in trying to meet that potential dating partner. However, the first thing you need to do before you start opening any of those doors is figure out what you\u2019re looking for in a dating relationship. Then, you\u2019ll know exactly where to look and how to make your approach to the person that interests you.<\/p>\n

Typical places to find dating partners are through friends, at schools, churches and any other places that you may frequent. Now, your close friends that are in relationships will usually be thrilled to set you up with someone that they just KNOW is perfect for you. This can be an excellent idea or it can be a disaster. It kind of depends on just how well your friends actually know you.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re religious, chances are you\u2019re part of a church in your community. Many churches have groups for singles that allow them to mix and mingle with each other. People with the same beliefs and values are usually pretty good matches. You\u2019ll already have something major in common and religious views are usually very important in relationships.<\/p>\n

\"internet-dating-single\"Another way to meet potential dating partners is through the Internet. There are literally hundreds of thousands of dating websites these days to choose from. If you don\u2019t want to join a dating site, there are also chat rooms set up for people to get to know each other. The websites are usually safer and offer a more organized way of meeting the right people, though.<\/p>\n

A unique dating venue that\u2019s been around for several years is that of speed dating. Organizations put together events for singles of all kinds to attend. The attendees are then given anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes with each other to get acquainted. Once everyone has spent some time together, the event is ended. Anyone that\u2019s interested in being contacted by someone they chatted with will pass this information onto the organizers and that will be given to the person in question. What happens after that is in the hands of the chosen ones. This isn\u2019t a free way of meeting dating partners but it can be a fun way to spend an evening.
\nJust remember that no matter how you choose to find your dating partners, be safe about it. Go slow at first and take all precautions. You\u2019ll be happy you did.<\/p>\n

Single and Loving It<\/strong><\/p>\n

It seems that ever since there have been males and females walking the earth that they all try to find their perfect mates and pair up. Even in the time of cave men and women, there were couples that hooked up and became mates. As time went on, girls were married off as young as 13 or 14 years old, usually because of the short life expectancy of the era. That gradually turned the ages for getting married into later ones. Now, it seems that even 25 year olds may not be mature enough for that type of a commitment.<\/p>\n

This is starting to be much more common than anyone would think. No one really knows the reason for it, but there doesn\u2019t seem to be just one reason, either. One of the biggest causes of choosing to be single has to do with careers. Women as well as men are involved in high level and hugely busy careers these days, and often there\u2019s just not time to maintain a relationship. These people generally prefer to go out with friends and spend time with their families rather than become heavily involved romantically with someone. They will say that their careers take up too much time for them to devote themselves to building a relationship. Maybe, once they slow down a bit or change careers, they\u2019ll get more serious about finding a partner. But at the moment, their careers are their lives.<\/p>\n

Another reason for choosing to remain single is that some people just don\u2019t like being tied down to only one person. They like their freedom and the fact that they don\u2019t have to answer to anyone. These are the people that just like being on their own. They like being able to come and go when they want, and make their own plans without having to consult anyone else. It\u2019s this attitude that keeps them single and happy about it.<\/p>\n

\"single-man-happy\"Many people simply don\u2019t wish to be legally tied to another person. When you marry someone, you take on any credit or legal issues they may have. This is particularly true when it comes to debt and credit problems. If your name is tied to that person, anytime your credit is checked for anything, it\u2019s very possible that your partner\u2019s credit problems will also surface. You may want to check into such things as these when you\u2019re considering a serious relationship with someone.<\/p>\n

These aren\u2019t the only reasons that people choose to remain single, by far. However, they are the top ones. If you\u2019re a part of the population that enjoys the single life, don\u2019t feel guilty about it. Yes, your parents may be hoping for grandchildren one day, but it\u2019s your life and not theirs. They\u2019ve already made their choices.
